St. George getaway

My dad, Aunt Karin, Leanna, Azzie, Little Charlie and I headed to St. George for a 3 day getaway.
We went to a park downtown and rode the carousel.

he was very scared of the moving horses.
we ended up on the bench.

making a quick stop to get some yarn.

Next stop...
Zions National Park

No, I wasn't dressed for Zions.  I had my hair down, makeup on, long pants, a black shirt and flats.  I got a few stares as everyone else was dressed to hike and should I mention...sweat.
My dad told us that we were going to ride the tram all the way around the park and that is what we did.
We were in the park a total of 3 hours.
We didn't get off to "hike" or even see the scenery!
If you have kids, it was a great little adventure from our window seats!!
In all honesty, I would love to go on a few hikes in Zions and feel bad that we took the park for granted with a tram ride.  Maybe next time without kids.

evening with Grandma and friends

My sisters and I headed over to my Grandma Donna's apartment to visit with her.
Not much has changed since the last time I saw her, or her place.
She still has the walls from floor to ceiling covered with photos of her grandkids and great-grandbabies.
I love her so much and was so glad to visit with her!

Later that night, we had Korine and Vaughn, and Jacque and Betsy come over for dinner and dessert.
It was our last night together so we made sure to get pictures of the moms and kids!

I love being surrounded by my family and my friends.
My visit to California reminded me of all the wonderful people in my life and I am so grateful for them.
Jacque and Korine are friends I will have forever and I love them so much.
I'm glad we are moms together and that our hubbies are good friends.  What more could you ask for?
Well, it would be nice if we all lived closer, but we can dream!

my little one happy as can be!

I recently got back from California with my little Charlie.  We went to Disneyland and met up with my family, cousins and best friend.  It was so great to see everyone again and to enjoy the happiest place on earth for a few hours together!  With such a big group, we didn't go on many rides but us adults had fun chatting and laughing together.  Charlie loved the Dumbo ride, it's a small world, dancing at the Buzz stage, Finding Nemo submarine, carousel and the jungle cruise.  Every time we saw the castle he would yell, "Look, Mommy, Look... the castle!!"  I only wish my hubby could have been there to see our little guy have so much fun at Disneyland.  There will be more trip to D-land, so no worries!
I'm excited to show more pics this coming week of the rest of our visit to Cali!!

Sara's baby shower

 My cute friend Sara!
I used really light scrapbook paper for the letter, but it says It's a Girl!
half of the spread.  fruit platter, fruit dip, pita chips and dip, Greek couscous salad,
seven-layer bean dip, choc. cupcakes and a delicious apple cobbler!

 Ali M. and Kristine P.
 Deseret L, Shawna T., and Nicole D.
 The McLeod girls
 yours truly and Brittany C.
 group pic take one.
group pic take two... with me in it!

Last week some friends and I threw a baby shower for a good friend in our ward.
It was an intimate baby shower with enough people to fit in the family room comfortably.  We had yummy food, good conversation, a fun round of the name game (Dellenbach favorite), and watched Sara open the gifts for baby girl.  I'm so happy for Sara and can't wait to meet her new babe.

low-key Dallas

We decided to keep this anniversary low-key with our little toddler in tow.
We left in the early evening to explore a neighboring town called Dallas.
No, it is nothing like Dallas, Texas!  It has a small-town feel and the main street is very quaint with little shops and a cute bakery.  The church bells rung every half hour and every small business was happy to have us peruse their shops (even if we didn't buy anything).
We ended the evening with some yummy bbq, one of our favorites!
I'm so glad I married my best friend and so happy we have a little family.
Life is good.  Oh, so good.

4 years

Happy Anniversary to US!!
4 years ago we got sealed in the Los Angeles Temple.
2 1/2 years ago we welcomed our first child.
In the last year we have graduated from college and moved across the country.

These have been the best 4 years of my life.
I never thought I could be this happy with someone.
I love you, Charlie!!

insta :: vacation

Forsyth park in Savannah.

adorable home on Tybee Island.
evening treat at the Sugar Shack!

Charlie's parents invited us to Hilton Head for a quick getaway a few weeks ago and we had a great time!
We all took turns heading to the golf course to watch the PGA Heritage Tournament.  It was my first time going to a golf tournament and I loved every minute.  It was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Me and the hubs also enjoyed counting every guy in a pastel Ralph Lauren polo, with khaki shorts that hit right above the knee, sperry boat shoes with no socks and Ray Ban sunglasses to complete the look.
That is golf tournament apparel I guess!!
We spent time at the beach of course and got a nice base tan.
We headed to Savannah on the last day and spent time at Forsyth park and drove to Tybee Island for dinner and dessert.
It was the perfect getaway for this family of three and we enjoyed spending time with Grammy and Grandpa Baggett too!
