I was nervous about flying with Sydney the first time too. Mostly because I didn't want to be that mom with the crying baby on board haha. But the thing that helped me the most was feeding her while we took off and during landing. It's supposed to help with the pressure/altitude changes. Hope that helps!
make sure you have a binki for him to suck on during the take off and landing. it helps pop their ears. the feeding thing works too. good luck!
Keep him covered up with this flu season right now!!
Relax, get to the airport 1 and 1/2 hours to 2 hours ahead of flight time so you're not rushing and frantic. Relax, baby can sense their parents' mood. Good idea about the feeding and the binki. And don't worry, even if he cries at first, most people are fine and even helpful. Relax....relax, relax. Love to all the Dellenbachs and the Escobars and the Baggetts and related family members!! Yay! Charles Sr. gets to see little Charlie the third!!!
Two words of advice: baby tylenol.
hahaha
Hey, I hear it works ;)
That is going to be so fun for you!!!!!!!!
Okay so he is still so little that as long as he is fed or with a binky he should be TOTALLY fine! Daphne did so well with her first plane right. and Jackson is such a seasoned traveler since he has been flying since he was 2 months old.
PS we will be in Georgia too!
Sissy, we wish you well as you fly with your new little guy. You need to take some Airborne to support your immune system before you go and have Charlie's dootie available. I always wore tops easy to feed in, that is your best bet. Send our love to the Baggetts and don't forget plenty of celery and onions in the stuffing!!!
missy- we took julia at six weeks to california and I was so nervous... all went well, it seemed to knock her out! she slept the whole time. feel free to bring your stroller and car seat- they check them at the gate for free... just put them in a trash bag or something because they get totally hammered in the cargo area!
He will sleep the whole time, he is still young enough. make sure he is sucking on something at take off and landing.
when you get to the airport ask the attendant if you can try and have a seat for him in the carseat. sometimes there are extra seats they can move you all to them so baby can have his own seat. its nice not to ahve to hold the the whole way.
oh yeah- i forgot to tell you... bring your boppy. it is super comfy to lay on your lap and let them sleep there, so your arms don't get tired. also way nice to nurse with it on the uncomfortable plsne
