garbage man

who takes out your garbage?

i asked myself this same question last night... and

i realized that for our entire marriage {6 1/2 months} I have
never taken out the garbage!!
not one time!
and i have never asked charlie to do it, it's just always done,,, by HIM.
i'm a lucky lady folks

it had snowed during the night and into the morning here in provo,
which led to wonderful snow play for my toddlers!

i started on christmas ornaments this evening while charlie was studying in the dining room.
christmas is my most cherished holiday above all others,
full of traditions, family and presents!
since this is our first christmas being married,
i wanted to start a tradition of our own... homemade ornaments!

well,,, my aunt didi has left me with her 1950s book full of pictures and yummy recipes for my future family!!

it's a great book where not only recipes abide but,,,
decorating tips for your table,
where to set silverware for formal and informal suppers
when to start appetizers, main course, dessert and post dinner drinks
where to seat guests at the table according to your relation to them
how to look and act as a homemaker and hostess
and ways to serve with flair!

it's a great read, full of laughs and gratitude
for women back in that era that really practiced and lived up to the definition of being the perfect homemaker!

trick or treat

halloween was very laid back and enjoyable with charles by my side
living in a house we had many trick-or-treaters

we both raced to the door when the doorbell rang, he usually won

we ordered pizza and munched on candy all night
charles acted as my personal photographer and took pics of me all night
laughed till it hurt when sharing halloween memories from our childhood
watched about 1/4 of "The Aviator" before falling asleep in each other's arms
