My hubby loves pizza like any other man and would probably eat it every week if he could! So I found a recipe that looked pretty good from Paula Deen's website. She did not disappoint!

lunch with the family

Our friend Dawn joined us and it was so great to see her again.

For Easter weekend my parents came up to visit and to attend General Conference. We all headed to the Garden Restaurant after the Saturday morning session and took quite a few pictures as you can see! Our friend Dawn joined us and it was so nice to catch up with her. It's amazing how much we have all grown since Dawn and her husband moved to Utah a few years ago!
While the men went to the Priesthood session us girls had a night out! We started by going to the mall and picked up some cute clothes for the babies. My Mom spoiled us girls and got us some lovelies from Clinique for our Easter present! I realized that night that the last time I got makeup for myself was before Baby Charlie was born, how sad is that?!! We then headed to Cafe Rio and shared salads for a very late dinner! My parents had to leave first thing on Easter morning so we made a yummy breakfast and said our goodbyes. I love my family so much and can't wait to see them again!

1/2 birthday

My baby is 1/2 a year old!! Where has the time gone?
We thought it would be fun to have some family over for dinner and cake to celebrate.
We had roast beef, potato dumplings, green bean casserole, veggies, salad and a yummy homemade lemon strawberry cake for dessert!
Here's the table my wonderful hubby set, I thought he did a pretty good job!

This last month has brought many firsts!
We went to a combined fhe with quite a few couples from my stake back home and Charlie showed his mad texting skills!

he's starting to sit up on his own with a few falls here and there!

Had his first encounter with a dog, Joey (Vess & Angie's dog) A very cute dog I might add!

of course the Easter egg hunt started as soon as we had to leave to put Charlie down for bed, but here's everyone else!

This wasn't Charlie's first time to a park but he did go on the swing for the first time and loved it!

He would just stare at the sky and was really relaxed on the swing!

he had so much fun when Azzie joined him! They are the best of friends!

This last month has been wonderful as Baby Charlie has grown so much. We've spent a lot of afternoons going on walks around our neighborhood and going to the park with cousins and friends! My hubby and I love this little boy so much!

6 inches

I got 6 inches cut off on Saturday and it's such a big change!
I don't think I've had my hair this short since I was in elementary school!

To tell you the truth I was growing rather tired of having long hair and having to put so much time in blow-drying, brushing and straitening it. Don't get me wrong I love the way long hair looks but I needed a change. I really don't know what I can do with hair this short other than the style in the pictures but I'll learn!

the splash zone

So we recently got little Char a new big boy bathtub and the way he bathes has changed dramatically!!! Be willing to get soaked because this little boy loves to kick his legs and splash the water until his hearts content! The first time we tried out the new tub he discovered if he kicked his legs really fast that about half the water would get on mom and even more on the mirror and counter! With summer around the corner I can't wait to introduce him to swimming and kicking his legs in a pool!

It was a success! I was getting worried that he would completely refuse but after the first bite he wanted more! He was making his mom and dad laugh as he slurped the rice cereal like he was drinking out of a straw! So cute! I was telling my husband how it feels like time has flown by with this little one I mean he's eating solids now! how crazy!

Since Charlie will start solids pretty soon I have been on the hunt for a great highchair. I wanted something sturdy, durable and one that would match my families 'classic' style.
I decided to try out craigslist and KSL classifieds before
resorting to spending more money at a store.
Boy am I glad I did because we got a GREAT deal on this highchair... only $40!!
It's in perfect condition and the exact look I was going for, can't beat that!

5 months

Charlie went to his first concert at Velour to watch Aunt Katie and her band perform!
Also went to the theater for the first time to see The Princess and the Frog!

and loves playing with Azzie!

This last month has been so much fun!

some things to remember:
weighs 15 lbs.
loves to suck fingers and toes
recognizes his name
loves the bumbo
loves taking baths
loves brushing his teeth(gums really)
likes to read books and watch baby Einstein
play with cousin Azzie!
watch his mom get ready in the morning
playing in his crib with toys
playing with Daddy
reaches for our food when eating at the table
has bowel movements very regularly!!! haha
is content in bouncy chair when mom cooks or cleans dishes
and takes 3 naps a day!!

things to look forward to: eating solids next month, sitting up, doing baby signs!
