a prego pic... finally

So I just realized I haven't taken any prego pics yet.
well, here I am at 23 weeks,,, blonde and barely fitting in my old khakis.
Some notes for my keepsake,,,
I feel our baby boy moving all day long, into the long nights I don't sleep.
I feel like sitting down constantly, I hate being on my feet.
I crave smoothies and anything ICE cold.
I only get up once during the night to use the bathroom.

now some notes from Charlie concerning my pregnancy...
-She starts a movie then falls asleep 5 minutes later!
-more emotional!!
-more gas!! haha
-more fast food, but not by much
-however, she's starting to cook more now

There you have it!

we're HAVING a,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

OH MY GOODNESS, we are so excited to have a BOY for our first!!
I had a feeling it was going to be a boy from the start and am so glad I was right!
It was such a special experience looking at the baby with Charlie,
something I will never forget.
I already have ideas for the nursery and can't wait to get started!

here's to ONE year together

looking back,
we're even more in love than we were that day.

he's taught me how to appreciate sports

he's learned how to live(eat) with a vegetarian

and so MUCH more.

now onto our anniversary.
We had brunch with my parents then headed to Laguna.
the water was freezing and such a high tide.

My view,
a growing tummy and the ocean.

We then went to our old stomping grounds... Irvine spectrum for
yummy Cheesecake Factory!
you can only imagine the reaction Char had to these ribs!

we lucked out with tickets to the Angels game from my Uncle Drew and Aunt Chris,
they were GREAT seats! thanks

then ended the evening getting our FAVORITE ice cream...
chocolate malted crunch at the ice cream parlor in Rite Aid.

It was a perfect weekend away from it all, just perfect.
I can't believe it's been a year, it goes by way too fast.
With a little one on the way, our lives couldn't be more blessed.
We love our growing family and mostly love and respect one other.

holding hands softly as Charlie rested all morning

I thought I'd prepare breakfast in bed
scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon
toast, bananas and chocolate milk!
of course I made some for me too!

I hope you get well soon Charlie boy,
I LOVE YOU!

getting your husband to dye eggs with you!

so my cousin Korine and I had an idea for FHE,,, dying Easter eggs.

we set everything up and discovered our husband's still SITTING watching sports!

if you think us Dellenbach girls will let THIS happen, think again!! ha

Korine and I gave them a long lecture about the importance of FHE, that it's about family! just kidding, but we did get them to join. We later found the boys stuck to the table engaged in dying their eggs. We just laughed! who knew the boys would like this sort of thing so much?

the outcome,,, super cool tye-dyed Easter eggs!
you should try it!

North and South wings of our casa

Upon arriving at our house,
you will find two long hallways that lead to the North and South wings of the house.
it can be kinda creepy!
If you take the hallway to the right you will see every important President of the United States according to my great Aunt DiDi!

You can walk into the old ART room
which has not changed since great aunt DiDi died, except for the addition of our love seat.
I think we watch tv on the oldest television in America, which we must use bunny ears for signal.

Also in the North wing of the house is our HUGE kitchen,
I must say, I cannot complain about this, except for the goose wallpaper!

If you made a left once entering the house, you will enter the South wing.
a LONG hallway lined with personal portraits and nature paintings.

our wonderful laundry room, the #2 best thing about living here! just 3 steps from our bedroom!

our bedroom, but more importantly our huge walk-in closet. The closet has custom shelves and drawers! This picture only shows 1/4 of our closet,
I'm just showing my organized husband's side!!!

well, this was just a sneak peek into the home we share with my dad's cousin (our landlord)
We've lived here since last September and will be moving out sometime this summer so we can have our own place by the time our baby comes.

plans for a garden

I would like to have a garden this spring/summer.
there are two box gardens already set up in our backyard.

I only hope my landlord will let us have the one by the red shed
{if she lets us have one at all}

this is what I'd like our garden to look like:

I want to plant all of these above,
oh, and also some darling sweet pea flowers.
is that too much for one box garden?
I think it might be.
